Opportunity

Folium Biosciences is in a fast paced industry that is working through regulations, fast changing consumer habits, and unique accounting needs. Their initial Inventory Management selection could not keep up with their growth and they needed a new seed to sale software solution. As the premier bulk supplier of highly refined and scientifically programmed PCR hemp oil that can then be packaged into a multitude of consumer product applications they needed an agile and more robust solution.

Solution

Folium selected Salesforce CRM and then looked to the AppExchange to find a fit for their ERP requirements natively on the platform. Ascent Solutions delivered a single source of truth system with Salesforce for seed to sale software by providing inventory, procurement, production, orders and fulfillment management all natively on the platform. This enabled Folium to leverage Salesforce CRM for front office activities (e.g. sales and service) while Ascent fulfilled the missing back office elements that Folium needed including inventory control, lot/batch traceability, labeling and taxation compliance. In 2019 Folium increase sales by 1000%+ with its 100% vertically integrated solution in the cloud.
