Ascent Label Anything Zebra Printer Setup App

Overview:

This document describes the initial setup of the Zebra printer for use with Ascent Label Anything utilizing the Ascent Printer Setup app.

Requirements: This application must be installed for Ascent Label Anything to connect to your Zebra Printers.

  1. A device with Windows Operating System installed
  2. Zebra Printers
  3. Ascent Printer Setup App installed 

Setup:

  • Install the Ascent Printer Setup Application
  • Then click on the “Download” button

  • Proceed with the download by clicking the “Download anyway” button

  • Double click the Application
    • Warning Screen Appears

  • Click More info
  • Click Run Anyway

Printer(s) not connected to the Network:

  • Make Sure your Printer has Wi-Fi capabilities
  • Make sure your Printer is Plugged into your PC with a USB cord
  • Select the “USB” Option
  • Select your Printer from the drop-down list
    • Note: Only Zebra Printers will work

  • Click the “Connect to Wifi” button

  • Type In your Network Information (SSID is your network name)

  • Click “Submit”
    • The Printer will start to reboot
  • Once the printer has reset, click “Link Printer to Ascent”

Printer(s) Already Connected to the Network:

  • Click the “Network” Option
  • Enter your printer(s) IP address 
    • If your printer does not have an LCD screen, you can find this by holding the feed and cancel buttons on the top panel
  • Past IP Addresses in the field
  • Click “Link Printer to Ascent”

Adding Printer(s) to Salesforce:

  • Go to the home screen in Salesforce and search for “Cloud Printers” 

  • Click New
    • ‘Cloud Printer Name’ = An identifiable name for the printer
    • ‘Printer ID’ = The printer’s Serial Number
  • Click “Save”

You have successfully set up your Zebra Printer(s) with Ascent Label Anything!
